NVIDIA has just released a new set of beta graphics drivers that supports GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500-series desktop GPUs as well as ION desktop GPUs. R290.36 is the first release of the new R290 family. This driver adds the ambient occlusion in the control panel for two games: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. R290.36 enables NVIDIA Surround on X79 SLI motherboards, and native 3D Vision DisplayPort 1.1 connections are now possible on BenQ XL2420T and BenQ XL2420TX monitors. More details about R290.36 HERE.

The AO profile for Skyrim gives the same effect as the profile for Fallout 3. Too much overdone and dark-ish, at least for my taste. I personally use the profile for Oblivion — much better and subtle shading.
The other thing for this new branch is that I think NV fixed OpenCL performance back to the levels from R270 drivers. Tested with SmallPT.
