Toshiba has launched the first notebook with an ultra HD 4K display: the Satellite P50T-BST2N01 has a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels or four times the fullHD resolution. Among the other features, there are: a 15.6-inch multi-touch display, an AMD Radeon R9 M265X graphics card (384 stream processors, 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, ), an Intel Core i7-4700 HQ CPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB hybrid hard drive.     Lovely price, but those touchscreens are such gadgets. Apart from Quake live players i see no target audience.

    Moreover, 4K on a 15″ glossy screen ?
    A little sunshine here and there, therefore you lose 2K pixels of computed image.

    I’d still prefer an ultrabook pcie-SSD + 10hrs battery with a 13″ screen than this big shiny toy 😛

    Sarcasm apart, 4k is better suited for home/desktop computers atm i thinks 🙂
