MSI has launched the Big Bang-XPower II, its new flagship motherboard based on the Intel’s X79 chipset. The power supply module of the motherboard has 22 phases to handle up to 770A (keep in mind, 770A with a low volatge…).
In the graphics card side, the Big Bang-XPower II has several interesting features. The mobo supports 4-way SLI or CrossFire and has four swithes (PCI-E CeaseFire) to enable or disable the graphics cards.
And for overclockers with power greedy graphics cards, the motherboard includes an additional 6-pin power connector:

Hmm, what’s up with the crayons on the chipset?
Not crayons but rather bullets for a killer mobo!
I love this MB, but it still only has 2 Intel SATA3 ports!!! sigh, and the 3rd parties are better than what we seen in the past but still not up to par with Intels… And for $400+ MB I want all 10 Intel or at least a 3rd party that performs as well as Intel’s
Now that’s one sick looking mobo… I’m in love even just with the looks! 🙂
4x sli totally useless with most decent gpus being double slotted these days
