
Intel has published a new graphics driver for its GPUs (Intel 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Gen processors) on Windows 10. This new driver (version 26.20.100.7584) comes with the following changes:

– Intermittent crash or hang may be observed in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2019* or while launching DOTA2 on 10th Gen Intel Core processors with Iris Plus graphics.
– Minor graphics anomalies may be observed in NextPVR, Code Vein*, NBA 2K20*, Solidworks 2018/2019 and Adobe Fresco applications.
– Intermittent crash or hang may be observed when launching or closing ARCHICAD application.
– System restart with BSOD observed on 10th Gen Intel Core processors with Iris Plus graphics after the system boots with the lid close state on single display embedded laptop panel.
– When connecting Apple* 6K monitor on 10th Gen Intel Core processors with Iris Plus graphics, max resolution is only up to 4K.

Quick test of this driver on an Intel Core i7-8700K (with an UHD 630 GPU):
I installed and re-installed several times this driver but there is no way to get a decent OpenGL support. The driver v7584 removes the OpenGL 4.6 support and only a generic OpenGL 1.1 is available. If I install the driver v7463, the OpenGL 4.6 support is back.
So here is the OpenGL support of v7584 😀

I finally managed to install this graphics driver. The secret was to manually install the driver by selecting at some point the iigd_dch.inf file.
Now OpenGL 4.6 support is there:

The OpenGL support is similar to the one exposed in v7463.
Vulkan support
On the Vulkan side, there is no problem, Vulkan is there. Intel v7584 exposes Vulkan 1.1.127 and adds 5 device extensions compared to previous v7463:
– VK_EXT_full_screen_exclusive
– VK_KHR_shader_float_controls
– VK_NV_device_diagnostic_checkpoints
– VK_KHR_separate_depth_stencil_layouts
– VK_KHR_spirv_1_4
