AMD Radeon RX 590 launch

1 – Overview

AMD has launched a new Radeon RX today: the Radeon RX 590. This RX 590 is based on the Polaris 30 GPU which is a refresh version of the previous Polaris 20/10 GPU we find in Radeon RX 580, RX 570, RX 480, RX 470. The main difference between the Polaris 30 and the Polaris 20 (Radeon RX 580) is the 12nm process and its consequences: higher clock speeds (+15%) without exploding the power consumption (TDP).

The Radeon RX 590 targets the place between the NVIDIA GTX 1060 and the GTX 1070. The RX 590 is priced at USD $280.
