First rumors about AMD R9 300 series are appearing on the web. The Radeon R9 390X, codenamed Bermuda, belongs to the Pirate Island family and will use the 20nm TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) process technology. The R9 390X will feature 4224 stream processors clocked at 1GHz, 264 texture units, 96 ROP units and a 512-bit memory interface. This Bermuda-based graphics card should be launched at the end of the year (November / December).

Unlike Intel, AMD is not so forthcomming with patches to Linux kernel & MESA so no peaking at the source code for info about next gen hw.
Anyway. Which version of GCN, it will be?
